The Paintbox provides Art workshops for adults and children in a friendly but structured environment. Sessions take place in Wimborne, Dorset and Ringwood, Hampshire.
Workshops aim to develop confidence in skills and processes combined with the enjoyment and well-being that can be gained through creativity.
It has been shown that being Creative is very good for you and can have a positive impact on your well-being. some points to consider:
-being creative can reduce anxiety and depression
-joining a workshop is a way to socilalise with others who share the same interest and meet new people
-when you are engaged in creative activities you are activating different parts of your brain, improving cognitive function

About me
How I Got Here
My name is Cathy Morris. I have a degree in fine Art and am a fully qualified Art teacher with over 30 years experience as Head of the Art Department in a Dorset secondary school.
I attended Kingston University where I did my Foundation course followed by a degree in Fine Art. I then did my PGCE course at the Institute of Education, London.
Marrying my husband from Poole, resulted in a move to the stunning county of Dorset and it is here that I have spent my teaching career and been able to bring up 3 daughters.
I am passionate about Art and Art Education ,there’s nothing that I love more than sharing my knowledge with others and supporting children and adult's in developing their own creative journey.
I love to draw and paint and when time permits can be found with my paints and brushes at the Easel!
Children's Holiday Workshops, see summer dates below.
The Paintbox provides a range of Art workshops for Children from ages 6-16.
Children's workshops take place in Wimborne Community centre and The Greyfriars Community centre in Ringwood. Workshops take place during the school holiday periods . At present workshops are 3 hours in duration allowing parents to drop their children and return later.
Children's workshops exlore a theme and will allow the children to develop their skills in a range of media. Workshops are kept to a small number to allow each child to develop at their own pace and build confidence in their ability.

Adult's Workshops
The Paintbox offers a range of Adult Art workshops.
Workshops take place in Wimborne and Ringwood.
You can be assured of a warm welcome, and relaxed atmosphere.
Workshops explore a theme or specific media. Guidance is given to individuals as much as required so all participants can develop at their own pace. Size of workshops are kept small to allow individual instruction.
All materials are provided so all you have to do is book and turn up!

hen party, birthday party, paint nite with a group of friends, whatever the occasion.
The Paintbox can provide a painting activity on a chosen theme for a group of maximum 10. The party can be held at a venue or in a home if preferred.
